Cool Video

Hello Everyone!

I had to review a website for my graduate assistant position and this video was posted on the website. I thought it was something interesting to think about.

"Did you know?"

Happy Wednesday :)

  1. Great post, Monica! This is an exceptional example of digital rhetoric and how multimedia can be essential in the learning process.

Among other predictions, I was particularly shocked to learn that in 10 years, China will be the #1 English-speaking country. Throughout high school and early undergrad, many instructors would emphasize how marketable one would be if they were fluent in a foreign language; but with this push for everyone to learn English, does this notion still ring true? One hundred percent of graduates from India's universities know English! That's astonishing, yet mere evidence of the effects of the concept of globalization.

  2. Well, after viewing this, I must agree with the notion that something new is learned every day! Great video! I too was shocked by many of the facts, especially those concerning language and the number of jobs by age 38! I think the video shows how multimedia is both an interesting and efficient means of teaching information, such as that which I learned today. I also find it amazing that multimedia has played such a large role in creating these facts! After watching this video, I am excited to see what a video of this nature will reflect ten years from now! That is, if it will actually be a "video"... at this rate, who knows what we'll have accomplished!

  3. This video gave me a visual perspective on something teachers have been telling me since high school. I have already emailed it out to all my loved ones!
